This traditional beverage was supposedly served to potential Marine Corps recruits at Tun Tavern, Philadelphia, during the American Revolution.

  • One part dark Jamaican Rum

  • Four parts lime juice

  • Maple sugar and grenadine to taste

  • Pour over cracked ice in a glass punch bowl
