The ceremony Is held To properly retire used And worn flags representing the United States of America. The Public And other groups And agencies have entrusted these flags To us For proper Disposal. <p>We are mindful of the fact that this ceremony Is one of reverence And respect For our beloved flag And by this ceremony, we bring honor To it. The Marine Corps League, Westchester County Detachment US Flag Disposal Bin Program includes partnership with many US Post Offices In Westchester County And the American Legion Post 135 In White Plains, NY. <p>We were honored with the following guests: Tom Meier, Director VAS, Bill Ryan, Westchester County Legislator, And former White Plains Councilman Glen Hockley.<p>The burning detail was led by Bob Gibson of the American Legion. A prayer was recited And Honors rendered. The American League Post And Marine Corps Standard are dipped, The Firing Squad fires 3 volleys And the Bugler sounds "Taps".
