Sergeant Anthony N. Kalladeen
(KIA Iraq 8 Aug 2005)

Sergeant Anthony N. Kalladeen served four years in the United States Marine Corps and  a former Young Marine of  the Westchester County Young Mairnes. After his four years in the Marine Corps, Sergeant Kalladeen joined he Ary National Guard. Sergeant  Kalladeen was Killed in Action in Iraq on 8 August 2005. He died on August 8 in Baghdad, Iraq from injuries sustained on August. 7, 2005 when this HMMWV was struck by two improvised explosive devices and he received small arms fire. Sergeant Kalladeen was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment, 256th Brigade Combat Team, New York, N.Y.

A Memorial Scholarship has been established in his name to assist a deserving student from the Andrus Childrens Home in Yonkers., NY. Anthony was a resident of this Home since the age of 9.
