Westchester County Detachment Sr. Vice Commandant Drew McFadden and LtCol Glenn Sadowski, USMCR are spearheading a project to supply a "Bowflex" for the LHD USS New York workout area.

Lt Col Glenn Sadowski and Sr. Vice Drew McFadden thought that we should do something directly for the ship-board troops. LtCol  Sadowski suggested supplying the gym with some quality workout equipment. Bowflex was selected because it offers so many different exercises, but were concerned with its size - it's pretty big. After contacting the USS San Antonio, the sister ship, and they told us the Bowflex will fit perfectly in the gym. Now we need to raise $2,500 to get them a top of the line unit that will be used by the Marines and the sailors aboard the USS New York. We hope you all share our excitement about providing this first class equipment to help our Marines stay in shape as they deploy into harm's way.
