NYS has amended Section 669(a) of NYS Education Law to provide the equivalent of 4 years under graduate, or 3 years graduate tuition at the rate charged by SUNY for all NYS veterans who served in a combat theater of operations for which a expeditionary medal or campaign ribbon was issued from 1961 on forward.  The award may used for any accredited educational institution in NYS.  It may also be used for approved vocational training.  This is effective 7/1/08.
