Passing of Detachment Life Member Edward Omiatek

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Detachment life member Edward Omiatek, 85 a long time Irvington resident, died April 29, 2008. He was born in New York City to Felix and Frances Omiatek. He married Elvera Rose Ferllo on April 28, 1963 in Yonkers. She predeceased him in 1997. Edward was a structural mechanic for the Burnham Corp. in Irvington, NY. He was a member of the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department, Immaculate Conception. Church and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Edward served in the Marines during WWII. He is survived by his daughter Valerie Cerami. Mass of the Resurrection 10:30AM Friday, Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irvington Visiting 2-4 and 7-9PM Thursday, Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorials to the Irvington Volunteer Fire Dept. EDWARDS-DOWDLE FUNERAL HOME 64 Ashford Avenue Dobbs Ferry, New York.
