It is with deep regret that we announce the death Detachment Member Army National Guard Specialist  Anthony N. Kalladeen, 26, of Purchase, N.Y. while in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He died on August 8, 2005 in Baghdad, Iraq from injuries sustained on Aug. 7, when this HMMWV was struck by two improvised explosive devices and they received small arms fire. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment, 256th Brigade Combat Team, New York, N.Y

Specialist Kalladeen, a Yonkers native; was a former Young Marine of Westchester, and served for four years in the United States Marine Corps. He was serving his second tour in Iraq.

A wake for Spc. Anthony N. Kalladeen will be held Tuesday at Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St. Reading, Pa. Call 610-374-4505. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 322 S. 5th St. Reading, PA. A burial will Follow.
