Marines Helping Marines: The Marine Corps League - Department of Maryland has coordinated with the Naval Hospital Command and the Marine Corps Liaison Office "to provide extensive support for injured Marine Corps personnel". Currently, in addition to personal comfort items, the League provides financial assistance to the families who are visiting their Marines. Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund: On May 18, 2004, a small group of concerned Marine Corps spouses founded the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund to provide financial grants and other assistance to the Marines, sailors, and families of those injured serving our nation.
